Jacob Fleishman & Sons is a family-owned and operated business that was founded in 1914. We have been expanding and diversifying our company for over 100 years, and it has been a true journey from humble beginnings to present day. As industry leaders, we provide comprehensive services in three main areas including: refrigerated and cold storage, sales and distribution, and transportation and logistics.  

Our core values have remained intact, and we strive every day to establish long term relationships with our loyal customer base by being responsive to their individual needs, by providing tailored solutions coupled with professional, personalized and experienced customer service. Our unrivaled customer service is in the hands of over 50 loyal, professional and experienced members of our team leading, monitoring and conducting seamless operations, to serve a wide variety of customers ranging from food manufacturers, growers, distributors, wholesalers, food service operators, import-export businesses, and leading food brands among others.  

Our refrigerated and cold storage division is FDA, USDA, SOLAS and NOAA certified, and we are equipped with our own facility to provide flexible solutions in fast, cost effective and reliable manner. We are capable of storing and handling perishables ranging from a variety of meats, to fruits and vegetables, dairy products and poultry to list a few. To complement our storage and warehouse services, we created a sales and distribution division with an experienced team fully dedicated to sourcing, selling and distributing food items, and making them available in strategic locations including supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, hotels, the hospitality industry, and in the marketplace where consumers can access them. 

With the infrastructure in place, our own fleet of refrigerated trucks, safe and reliable drivers, logistics specialists, and transportation partners, our capabilities became endless, and we decided to introduce a transportation and logistics’ division specializing in providing reliable freight options via air, sea and land within Florida, nationwide, and to the Caribbean Islands. Our customers can now rely on us as their trusted partner and single source supplier from beginning to end, assuring that all products including perishables, home goods, heavy equipment and machinery are handled, stored and transported the right way until reaching their final destinations. 

All of us are committed to maintaining our reputation for delivering on our promises, for being solution providers, for achieving goals and getting results, and we are dedicated to conducting our business fairly, honestly and with integrity. Past and Future

Our company was established in 1914 by our beloved great-grandfather Jacob Fleishman, a visionary ahead of his times who possessed an unrivaled and innate business sense. He started our family owned and operated business by delivering eggs, butter and cheese on a small truck to local stores and neighborhoods in the Boston area. In the late 1970’s our forefathers moved to Florida and continued doing business locally. The company gained rapid recognition, diversified it product lines, and in the process expanded its staff members to about 10 full time members. By 1985 the business was re-established to offer cold storage solutions and we begun to expand faster than we ever imagined.  

By 1992 our company was thriving. We expanded our sales division, broaden our products and proliferated so much that we had to re-locate to a larger facility to keep up with existing business, and to support future expansion that we were already anticipating as a result of the growing demand for our services. It was during this year that Roy, a 4th generation Fleishman, joined the team and eventually took over the management and operations becoming our company’s C.E.O.

Roy inherited much of his ancestor’s business sense, old fashion values and morals, along with a relentless pursue for operational excellence and exceptional customer support. In addition, his unique vision to create a safe, stable and friendly workplace for the company’s staff members gave the employees the drive to do their best. Through teamwork, dedication and determination, they turned a family dream into an industry leader in refrigeration and cold storage services, sales and distribution, and transportation and logistics business with a stellar reputation both nationwide and internationally.

The majority of our staff members, an extension to our Fleishman family, have been with us for decades going above and beyond their duties to secure a stellar reputation for our company locally and nationwide. It is in response to their efforts and years of dedication, and as a token of our appreciation, that Jacob Fleishman & Sons took the initiative to acquire the land surrounding our company’s headquarters and we built homes around our facility to provide a secure and suitable living environment, as well as convenient access to work to our highly regarded personnel. We take great satisfaction in knowing that by reducing their commute to work and the stress of driving, their lives have been greatly and positively impacted, as well as their daily performance.

Our 4th generation family business started out with a handful of employees back in 1914, and today we have over 50 full time employees all specializing in different departments to ensure that we deliver nothing but exceptional customer service.
